How do we move Insights from beta to production?

First of all, congratulations! We are excited for you. When you are ready, please reach out to your Insights contact and request to schedule a move to prod.

Once you have conducted your testing in Canvas beta, you will be ready to move to production. 

Ready for prod checklist: 

  • Prerequisites are complete: the 8-week Onboarding and Training Cohort, and full testing in Canvas beta. 
  • You may or may not have regulations at your institution about moving from beta to prod. Always check with your institution and follow their guidelines.
  • Likely your IT administrator will also need to be on the call since we need to connect Insights at the root of your Canvas account in order to capture live events.
  • Using sub accounts? No worries, you can still establish it at the root account and enable it for one or more sub accounts.  

Once the call is scheduled, we will walk you through the move live, in a Zoom call. Even though it can take as few as 20 minutes to do this, please plan on 90 minutes with us so that we can set it up, test, confirm functionality, or troubleshoot if needed.
