What User Roles are available in Insights?

Review each user role and their permissions to allocate appropriate access to your team.

Insights offers three user roles (or levels of permissions) based on tasks with assessment.

  • Assessment Coordinator
  • Program Coordinator
  • Faculty

Assessment Coordinators

Assessment Coordinators have full access to all areas of Insights and are typically administrative-level users at the organization. These users oversee and coordinate all assessment-related activities at the institution, academic college, or department.

Only Assessment Coordinators have the ability to change or update user roles.

Program Coordinators

Program Coordinators typically oversee and coordinate all assessment activities at the program level. Users set up with this role have similar permissions as the Assessment Coordinator, but limited to the program level only, meaning they can only access and edit the program(s) in which they oversee.

Faculty

Faculty have access to their own dashboard where they can see all of their course assignments, and they can filter and view data analytics in real time at the course level, specifically for the courses they teach. They can also enter reflections and improvements actions for their courses, directly on the dashboard while they are viewing the data. Additional tabs on the faculty dashboard provide views of the Assignments, Learning Outcomes and Curriculum Maps for valuable context of the assessment data they are viewing and the reflections they enter.
